Hair Transplants
If you are one of the many men experiencing hair loss you may be considering hair transplants. When you are going bald you have a variety but limited number of options. First of all, you can adjust to your new look. There is nothing wrong with embracing going bald as a part of the male aging process. Some men shave their heads and look quite attractive when they are bald.
Another option to combat baldness is a hair piece or weaves. These natural looking hair replacements make some men happy. If you spend the money on a nice hair piece or weave you can't tell it isn't natural hair. Hair pieces and weaves are convenient but need to be replaced regularly.
A more permanent solution to hair loss problems is hair transplants. A hair transplant is an in office surgical procedure performed with local anesthesia. It should be performed by a doctor who specializes in hair transplantation. Grafts of hair follicles are taken from the back of your head and inserted in the front of your head where the baldness is occurring. The donor areas are the closed using stitches or staples so you will want to grow your hair out to at least ½ - ¾ of an inch to cover the scars.
Hair transplants look more natural than ever before. Older types of transplants were inserted in measured patterns that did not look like the random roots of real hair. If you have older hair transplants you can have them rejuvenated to look more like real hair.
Once you have received your hair transplants you must practice proper after care. Directly after hair transplant surgery your doctor may or may not place bandages on your head. More doctors are opting for no bandages these days. If you do have bandages you will only need to wear them for 24-48 hours. Your doctor may recommend a hydrogen peroxide and water solution to wash the donor and recipient areas. Additionally, your doctor may prescribe a pain killer.
Once the hair transplantation procedure is complete you have new permanent hair in the areas where you were bald before. Consider your options for dealing with baldness. This permanent hair replacement procedure may be the way to deal with your hair loss.
